Story

Can't believe I'm 60 this year - May 4th to be precise.

I've run marathons, climbed the Three Peaks, Kayaked the Snake River, Skiied an Olympic Downhill (very slowly), trekked to Everest Base Camp. So what can I do to mark entering my 7th decade?

I'm not very keen on cycling! So how about the Football League's initiative - Wembley to Paris - 245 miles in 3 days? Surely not!

But the chance to prove that I can still rise to new challenges is difficult to resist. Couple that with the opportunity to represent Notts County, the Club I have supported for 45 years through thick, thin and very thin. And all in aid of such a worthy cause.

Let's do it!

So, from 14th to 17th June 2012, I will be taking part in the Football League Arch to Arc Bike Ride raising money for Help the Hospices. The ride starts at Wembley Stadium and finishes at the Arc de Triomphe - 245 miles over 3 days come rain or shine.

Help the Hospices do some amazing work around the country. Have a look at the video www.helpthehospices.org.uk/about-us/

My travelling/accommodation costs are being met from elsewhere, so anything you can give will go in full to the Charity.
