Hi All,

Welcome and thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As you may or may not know, my mother passed away in October 2009 of lung cancer. This was an extremely hard time for me and my family and it's taken me some years to come to terms with everything. While my mother was not treated at Velindre, the service they provide to cancer patients across Wales is invaluable. Since my partner Jen started working with Velindre in 2014 I've heard the most fantastic stories of care, compassion and emotional support they give to patients and their families everyday. Velindre relies greatly on the support and generosity of fundraisers and I feel I'm now at the point in my life where I can help make a positive contribution for an amazing cause.

This is why I've decided to join Velindre's "Ride the Rockies" challenge in September 2016. This involves a massive 405km bike ride from Canmore to Jasper through the Canadian Rockies. 

This will be a huge challenge physically and emotionally for me. It's a tough job to raise £6000, so I'll be doing loads of fundraising throughout the year.
