Story
Between 29 May and 4 June 2010 a very diverse group of cyclists will be aiming to cover 870 miles between Lands End and John O'Groats. The team is Ray Ball, Pete Binks, Paul Clark, Jim Shipman, Paul Winspear and myself.
Maybe a mid-life crisis thing, or maybe just because it's there, but staying in the saddle for over 9 hours and covering up to 130 miles each day for a week seemed too good to miss.
I've chosen to support CRY following the abrupt death of Caroline Johnstone, a 17 year old pupil at my sons' school, from a rare heart condition. The other pupils at The Bishop's Stortford High School have organised a number of fundraising events and I'm more than happy to do what I can to help.
We will be posting blogs of our training and (hopefully) of the event itself - first one is at http://www.hertsandessexobserver.co.uk/Bishops-Stortford/Stortford-fund-raiser-for-charity-cyclists.htm.
Second article here ... http://www.hertsandessexobserver.co.uk/Bishops-Stortford/Stortford-and-Stansted-men-to-cycle-from-Lands-End-to-John-o-Groats.htm

We're just about to set-off - please watch the blogs for the journey and thank you again for all your help and support.
