Story

== The Final Grand Total ==  £1450 pounds ===

Thanks again, once more and finally, on behalf of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, for all your kind donations.

The Final Grand Total (online/offline collections + their respective gift aid rebates) reached £1450 !

I am confident the charity have already started making good use of this significant sum of money.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been able to ask for your support of CHSS. It is you, the Sponsors, who have made a success of this fundraising effort, not me.

Yours Sincerely,

David

== Race Notes ==

The Loch Ness Festival of Running 2010 included a Marathon, 10K and 5K . The Marathon was run along most of the length of Loch Ness (through part of the 'Great Glen') finishing in Inverness.

A very hilly course for the first 10 miles plus a long climb at mile 20. An enjoyable course albeit one that needs good pacing / control to avoid overdoing it on the hills. Good views of Loch Ness and a scenic route right into the middle of Inverness along the riverbank. Not to be recommended as a first 26.2 distance race because of the hills!

== History / Background==

Why have I been collecting?
I know close family and friends who have been affected by strokes, heart and also respiratory problems, all of which come under the scope of this charity's work.CHSS supplies help and support across a good spread of areas and disciplines : Medical research, Care And Support, Advice/Publications and Welfare support.
