Story

Hi ,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, the London Marathon on the 25th April was fantastic - the weather was perfect and the crowd's encouragement was first class all the way round !

After starting well and maintaining a decent pace for the first 14 miles I found the final 12 miles very tough, the support and encouragement of the crowd (who were incredible) kept me going and seeing the family at 23 miles really spurred me on to cross the line in 3hrs and 53 mins.

If you sponsored me - Thank you ! with your generous sponsorship and the matching contribution of my employer Microsoft we have raised in excess of £13,000 for AYME.

ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a condition that to date has no known cause or cure and It deprives children of an education and is the most common cause of long term absence among school children affecting an estimated 25,000 young people in the UK. AYME has helped over 6000 members (aged 3 to 26 years) and continues to support those newly diagnosed to give them the best chance of recovery and a hopeful future.

kind regards

David
