Story

24 years ago my mum, Alice Woollett, lost her courageous fight against breast cancer.  Mum spent the last months of her life at the Royal Marsden Hospital where she received excellent care and both she and her family were supported by the wonderful staff.  This care ensured that in the last few months she was surrounded round the clock by close friends and family and was able to preserve her dignity to the end.

The Royal Marsden continues to be one the world’s premier cancer hospitals and to support them in their good work Amy and I have decided to take part in the Great South Run in Portsmouth on 24 October.  Please give generously and help us support the truly remarkable work the Royal Marsden continues to undertake.

About the charity

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
