We raise funds for vital medical research to ensure the health of women and babies

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

I am very fortunate in having two wonderful healthy children, but for countless families, the most natural thing in the world can be blighted by miscarriage, infertility, coming to terms with the loss of a baby, or learning to cope with a child who is seriously ill or with disabilities.

All too often, their misery is further compounded by science offering no answer or explanation for their plight.

In September 2010 I will be travelling to China to take part in a 450kms (280 miles) cycling challenge in the Beijing province.  I am raising money for Professor Robert Winston's charity, Women for Women to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions affecting women and their babies.  This includes brain injury, miscarriage, infertility, cancer and genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy.

I hope you will agree that this is a very worthwhile cause and worthy of your support.
