Story

I am a support worker who as been working at the sheffield children's hospital on a medical ward (m2) for the last 3 years.

This is Jamie a 17 year old boy with down syndrome, he as been coming to the sheffield children's hospital and bluebell wood on and off for some time now.

Unfortunately he passed away a few weeks ago after a long and hard battle but he never gave up smiling at any time (this is what remains me of him).

I'm doing my first marathon in Spain in october and I am now running in the memory of Jamie and would like the opportunity for people who i know or members of the public to please sponsor me and the proceeds will be going to a great charity (bluebell wood) this is what Jamie's parents would like.

I can tell you it's not a easy task  training for a marathon but doing it it spain as well, so please give me you donation and know that it's going to a good cause.

         Thank you   Dean

About the charity

At Bluebell Wood we provide care to children & young adults whose lives are sadly just too short; both in their own homes and our hospice in North Anston. We believe that every family deserves to make magical memories with their child, we need to raise £14,000 each day to keep our doors open.
