Dear Friends.

Unfortunately this afternoon i was notified by the organisers of the Great Swim and due to high wind speeds forecast for the morning of Saturday 22nd june the race has to be postponed.

As soon as i hear the new date you shall all be notified and Thank you so much for your support!

On the 20/10/2011 my, and indeed several people very close to me, had there lives changed forever by the very sudden and shock passing of my dear friend Tracey at the age of 47.

Tracey was one of those people that got on with everybody she came in contact with, she was a bubbly, cheeky and fun, quite simply a good person.... aren't those the ones who seem to be taken to early?.. and I feel I need to do something in her memory.

AICR (Association of International Cancer Research) is the charity that was close to her heart and I know she supported it when her brother Roy ran several London marathons, that tradition has carried on to date with more members of her family participating in the marathon and supporting this very worthy cause.

The Swim is an open water swim at Alton Water Reservoir, at the moment I am doing the 1 mile (may attempt 2 mile), not as hard as a marathon I know, but I would appreciate any support you are able to offer.
