Iam taking part in this tandem skydive, which presents a real challenge as I'm really scared of heights!!!

I heard about the Red Balloon charity through a friend but before that I had no idea what a fantastic job they did because they are relatively new. This is a great charity. Help me to help these kids who have had a rough deal!

What am I doing?

I have commited to jumping from a small aeroplane, at an altitude of 13,000ft. After deploying a drogue 'chute, my tandem instructor and I will hurtle towards the ground at up to 130mph. Around 45 seconds later the main parachute will be deployed and we will glide to earth, gently landing in view of our supporters.

What do Red Balloon Learner centres actually do?

In the words of a former pupil...
