Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you will be aware my Dad Martin (Lee’s father in law) sadly passed away from the devastating condition PSP on 10th February 2010 aged just 55. He was first diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) in June 2008. It is a terminal condition with life expectancy on average 7 years from onset. My Dad lost his fight after rapidly deteriorating in the last year but he still kept his fantastic sense of humour and positive attitude right until the end.
PSP is a very rare devastating brain condition that progressively robs those affected of their ability to balance, walk, talk, swallow or see, and unable to communicate with the world around them, yet the mind remains unaffected. Currently there is no effective treatment and no cure for PSP. The cause of it unknown and it can strike anyone although it tends to appear in the over forties.
To help raise money Lee and I are going up 15000ft in New Zealand in September to jump out of a plane! Yes we are going to do a skydive!!! This is not something we would normally choose to do but we wanted to do something extra daring to help raise money.
We hope to raise as much as possible for the PSP association for research and hopefully one day a cure so please give generously.
