Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On July 2nd 2009, our world was turned upside down when James lost the sensation in the lower part of his body. At the time the doctors didn't know what the cause was, but thankfully, due to the brilliant staff at Tameside and Manchester Children's Hospital a diagnosis was quickly made, and James was treated for Transverse Myelitis.
Thankfully after a few weeks, James made a speedy recovery, and thank goodness, he is back to normal - well as normal as a 13 year old boy can be!!!!! It is a very rare condition and we were so lucky that the neurologist at the hospital knew what it was, and could treat him properly. There is very little known about the condition by most G.P.'s and the TM Society do a great job in raising awareness and supporting those unfortunate to be affected.
