The watchful among you will have noticed that my Edinburgh Marathon Debacle has now been re-titled as the Preston Marathon Shambles. That's because various bits of my right leg gave up the ghost after an otherwise pleasant 18-mile training run for Edinburgh (shin splints, mild ankle detachment and a calf tear, thanks for asking).

So I would like to sincerely apologise to everyone who sponsored me for Edinburgh. JustGiving doesn't offer a facility for refunds - so I shall instead be running/walking/wheelchairing around the Preston Guild Marathon on 28th October in order to meet my sponsorship obligations, which I hope will be OK with all of you.
