Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

For anyone that knows me will know that I havent really been a huge fan of exercise. Until now :)

I have been on my own little journey of weight loss and exercise through the assistance of the wonderful eating plan of Slimming World. I am not yet at target but with my training for the half marathon over the next few months I hope that it will bring me ever closer and possibly to be at my Target weight by the time of the Midnight Walk. I already walk 22 miles a week but alas this is in not in one fell swoop but in 10 blocks of 2.2 miles so I will need to up my game if I am to complete this challenge :)

Not only is this about me and my personal challenges, but the main reason is for the charity, St. Catherines Hospice. Not only do they provide specialised end of life care to the people in the hospice, but also their families, friends and carers from Mid Sussex & East Surrey - FOR FREE! They are only able to do this by voluntary aid and events such as this one to fund their work. These people are amazing in what they do and deserve far more recognition than I believe they currently get.

Some day it may be me in there.... and hopefully someone will be doing the same for me.

Now for the sensible / serious stuff : Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
