Hello everyone,

Whether you think I'm crazy, brave or just plain mad I have decided to take on the challenge of climbing one of the worlds highest mountains, Kilimanjaro in East Africa. Not only is this an achievement of a lifetime but I am doing it for a very worthy cause, the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.

The Charity provides practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening or terminal illness. I can speak on a personal level when stating just how brilliant this cause is as a friend received tremendous help and support when her son when he was diagnosed with severe Heart failure at birth.

Where your money goes...

> £150 pays for a day's visit from a family Support worker to help with the everyday aspects of life

> £500 keeps our 24 hour helpline running for one month

> £800 pays for 40 hours of care from a Family Support Worker for the sibling of a sick child

> £7000 will pay for the transportation costs of a Family Support Worker for one year

> £35 000 funds a Rainbow Trust Family Support Worker for over a year

> £150 000 runs a team of Family Support Workers in your area. A family support worker can provide care and support for 25 families
