A team of staff from MK Dons and the Sport and Educaiton Trust are heading to Kilimanjaro in May 2011 to raise money for two very worthy causes, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the MK Dons Sport and Education Trust.

Marie Curie Cancer Care - cares for people with Cancer and other life limited illnesses. Their services are always free of charge to patients and their families and their charity is best known for its network of Marie Curie Nurses working in the community to provide end of life care for patients in their own homes. Their work is done all across the UK, they also have 9 hospices, conduct palliative care research and fund scientific teams investigating the causes of and treatments for cancer. They are joining up with the Football League this year as their charity of the year and we are pleased to support this partnership

 

MK Dons Sport & Education Trust (SET) aims to strive in four key areas: education, health and wellbeing, sports participation and social inclusion. They work within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas as a lasting legacy of the work of the football club.

 

We all either work within or with the SET and are delighted to be taking part. We will update this site as with personal reasons as to why we are taking part, but we hope you will support us and look forward to the adventure!

We would like to thank all those that have contributed so far and would like to make clear that a proportion of the funds raised will be used to fund the trip.
