Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Due to an injury to my knee, I will no longer be running in this years Great South Run. I will be running in 2009 instead. I will be running to raise money for The Mengingitis Trust.
As some of you know, I contracted Meningitis and Septicaemia back in 2000. I was one of the very lucky ones to recover fully. This was due to the amazing work done by the NHS and the Meningitis Trust.
Please sponsor me all you can to help those less fortunate than me. Any money you can give would be amazing, and greatly appreciated.
Most people survive meningitis but thousands are left with debilitating after effects including deafness, blindness, limb loss, learning difficulties, memory issues and behavioural problems. The impact may also cause relationship difficulties and an enforced change of lifestyle.
At the same time experience of this dreadful disease can have an impact on families, friends, work colleagues and the community in which they live.
The Meningitis Trust is here to support every individual touched by meningitis and the Trust’s services and support are a lifeline to help them rebuild their lives. It also raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and associated septicaemia.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Meningitis Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you so so much.
