Story

Hi all,

We have decided to bike and canoe our way down the 150 mile river Wye.  As we are going down a river we thought a charity connected with water would be appropriate. This is why we chose Village Water.  We were all really moved by the inspiring story's on their website as well as the staggering amount of people they help. Furthermore, we recognise the amazing effort being put in worldwide to stop Coronavirus but we fear that, Coronavirus or not, the people that village water help are still suffering hugely and need people to help them. With your support we know we can help.

We will be biking the first 50 miles of the river in one day, starting from Pumlumon Fawr near Aberyswyth. After that, we will do 100 miles of canoeing in four days, from Glasbury to Chepstow. We will start the trip on the 20th of July, Coronavirus permitting.

Here is a piece by village water:

Everyone deserves to live a healthy, happy life. Village Water support communities in Zambia and Mozambique be healthier by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in schools, village and health centres. With your support we can make sure everyone has safe water to drink at home, a private toilet to use and learn how to protect themselves from disease. When they're healthier people can go to school, work or farm. They can fulfil their potential and move away from poverty.

We hope you see how much your support is needed and any donations would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,

Will, Kit, Gabriel and Sam x
