We help children with complex autism to reach their potential.

Story

I never thought I would write this but - Welcome to my London Marathon donation page!

I have been involved with The Fred Foundation since its inception in 2007 - my son Fred is the boy with autism who inspired the charity - and when they succeeded in getting a place in the event I rather recklessly said I would do it.

The early morning training runs over fields of snow and ice and the endless circuits of Regents Park will be worth it if I can raise lots of money by completing the small matter of 26 miles round London.  It's for a great cause.

The Fred Foundation is dedicated to raising money to fund education programmes for children with autism.  It's vision is to allow children with autism to reach their potential through individualised, specialised programmes that match their needs not inflexible approaches which can cause immense suffering both to the children but also to their families.

Education is the only commonly accepted intervention for autism and in every case early intervention is critical to finding that child again and unlocking their potential.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to The Fred Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please donate what you can - it will help The Fred Foundation and also inspire me to get round!!
