Story

We are raising funds for both Oxfam and the Save the Children Fund.

Team leader Chris Eyre is the Great Great Grandson of English Explorer Edward John Eyre.

The team is going to follow in the footsteps of Edward John Eyre by walking 400 miles across the Nullarbor Plain in Australia.

The Nullarbor Plain is one of the most inhospitable parts of Australia.  Mainly a desert like environment the Nullarbor Plain is home to several types of highly poisonous snake and scorpion.

The team are commited to walking over 20 miles a day for 23 days.

We are looking for corporate backing as well as individual sponsors. There has already been media interest in this expedition.

Just sponsoring us at 10 pence per mile would be a £40 donation.

With this money the two charities would be able to fight poverty and help deprived children in many countries.
