Hi I'm Elias, probably the only Greek man crazy enough to run the London Marathon!

My familiy run The Hotel Alice Springs in the Greek Island of Kos and after talking to many of our customers over the years and hearing the touching stories of what Great Ormond Street has done for them, as a father myself, I thought rasing as much money as I can to help the Hospital keep saving childrens lives would be a fantastic thing to do.

3 times a week thoughout the season every year from 2008 we have been Auctioning prizes like bottles of wine, champagne and what ever else we think people would like to bid for after our quiz and bingo nights. All proceeds for the bingo and quiz nights go straight to this charity fund. All the customers love the comical way in which my father can keep everyone bidding getting the most we can for the charity. We even got 18 Euros for a can of soda water!!!

I'm not a runner and honestly this is going to be the hardest thing I have ever attempted to do, but dont worry, I'll make it over the finish line even if I have to crawl on my hands and knees!

To all our customers form over the years, new and old (and everyone else you know), please dig deep and pledge as much as you can for such a worthy cause. We all love children and the work Great Ormond Street do to keeping terminally ill children alive is second to none. If you can make it to London to cheer me on then even better! The London Marathon is a spectical in its self and it would be a great excuse to see London and take in the sights. We have organised a meeting place in London 10 minutes walk from the start line in one of our Hotel customers Pubs where we will be auctioning off more prizes and have a well deserved drink and laugh.
