‘Over The Wall’ is a very special place for children who are affected by serious or life limiting illnesses. It is the only residential camp in the UK structured on Paul Newman's renowned Hole in the Wall Gang camp. Bicycle Races!

A massive thank you to Dan House, David Philips, Mike Gosling, Lloyd Roberts and Aaron Sussex for cycling from Llandudno to Cardif over one of the wettest weekends this year (just think Ryder Cup) and raising over £1350 for the cause.

   They climbed over 6000ft

   Cycled through floods and monsoon weather

   Travelled 187 miles

   Burned over 36,000 calories

   Ate 50 Mars Bars, 20 energy bars, 20 sausage rolls, 15 Full English breakfasts and 6 curries!

   And finished with 5 very sore behinds!

 

Who's sweet?

Lauren Clements is!  Thank for Lauren for organising an impromptu cake sale at the recent DM Coaching Course. Lauren took a selection of cakes along and raised a whopping £100 for our OTW charity!

Fantastic results!  Big thanks from Lauren to the UKI DM’s, European/ UK training team, Randy, Kenneth & Eamon for being so generous. And a huge thanks to Lauren for the lucrative idea!

 

Eamon Doherty & Kenneth Cronin run the Dublin Marathon!

A very proud Ecolab congratulates Eamon & Kenneth on their amazing achievements.  Eamon says 'Never again! Done, next time I come up with some stupid idea, please hit me with a great deal of force (form an orderly queue please), 26 miles….. Why!  Congratulations to Kenneth for an amazing achievement in his time.'

 

Steve Dell Runs Half Marathon!

Steve Dell completed a half marathon last Sunday, on a very hot running day, raising over £200 for the Ecolab chosen charity Over The Wall. Steve said afterwards “Why would anyone ever want to do a full marathon? Every step over 12 miles is painful!. Forget the race it is just a mental challenge over ones own legs and natures gravity! Ignoring the pain it was a great event, running with over 1000 others through beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk countryside.

 

Fat Club

Some of the UK Institutional Management team took on the challenge of losing 10% of their body weight within 3 months – if you failed you paid £500 and if you were successful you had to donate £150!  As they successfully smashed their targets they have upped the stakes to 17.5% of their body weight by the 1^st August 2010!  Let’s get the cakes in and make sure they fail!

 

Ecolab office have a cake bake & raffle!

Swindon office staff held an Easter Cake Bake and Raffle which included some wonderful prizes donated by local businesses.  They raised a whopping £350.00!
