Story
Dear Friend,
Thankyou for visiting my fundraising page. As i am sure you are aware my little brother passed away last september. He was surfing in Newquay when he had an epileptic fit. He was pulled from the sea by a surfer and a lifeguard. He was recussitated by the lifeguard and an off-duty nurse on the beach and air lifted to Truro where he was placed in an induced Coma due to the damage his brain had already sustained. It was a miracle that he made it to the hospital.
James was in a Coma for three days before passing away. It was these three days that gave us, his family and friends an oppurtunity to say goodbye and for this we will always be greatful to the lifeguards. One lifeguard even attended his funeral. It was whilst speaking to him there that I was informed of there need for money to increase there numbers.
My older brother Jonny decided that this run was the least we could do and so we signed up. I have never done anything like this before and struggled to run a mile on the treadmill a few weeks ago (before 2 weeks of food and wine in Portugal) so 13 miles in a few months is a huge challenge for me. I rather optimistically asked for the medium size running vest from the RNLI and in it i look like the only gay in the village character from Little Britain!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page and i am grateful for any and all contributions.
