Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Whilst walking along the Chesterfield canal, the thought passed through my head (as many daft thoughts do!!!) that it would be great to paddle some canoes the length of the canal. With 32 miles and 25 locks to negotiate, it seemed like a challenge, and as the time to launch gets shorter, the challenge seems to be growing!! I'm being joined by many new friends, who are providing real support and encouragement. So far the team consists of myself, Steve (cheered on by his guide dog May, who is our mascot!), Peter, Keith, Geoff, Patsy, Andy and Chris.Hopefully the team will grow as we get closer.

The dates we have chosen are Aug 25/26th, that's the Sat/Sun of August Bank Holiday.

It will take us two days, needing to cover 18 miles on the first day, in order to reach our overnight pit stop.

If you can get down to see us en-route, possibly armed with energy-giving cup-cakes, we'd love to see you.
