Having completed a half marathon in February in an ok time, I had an urge to attempt the big one..26 miles and 385 yards...and where better to run my inaugural marathon but in the beautiful city of Venice.

I have decided to run for the charity “Venice in Peril”, in the Venice marathon on 23 October. For the past forty years Venice in Peril has helped fund the restoration of the city's historic architectural and artistic heritage.
