Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I have just arrived back from Afghanistan where I was serving with The Third Battalion, The Parachute Regiment. Whilst I was there some of my colleagues and friends were wounded and killed.  Since returning to the U.K, I have made it my mission to raise as much money as possible for these guys and their families, so that they can lead more comfortable lives.

The challenges I have set myself are a tall order and keep on getting bigger, but I feel passionately about the cause and believe I will make it.

My first challenge is the London - Brighton 56 mile footrace on the 11th September 2011.

My second challenge is The Caesers Camp 50 mile endurance race in Aldershot on 22nd October 2011

The third and most challenging, is The Thames Path 100.  It is a 100 mile non-stop foot race from Richmond in London, via Henley-On-Thames, finishing in Oxford.

Every penny of the money you donate will go straight to those who need it; The Afghanistan Trust does not rely on your money for their admin.

These men have given their blood, limbs and for some, their lives in service for their country. The least I can do is give some sweat and a bit of pain.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

The Afghanistan Trust gives assistance to soldiers of The Parachute Regiment who were wounded in action, or the dependants of those killed in action in Afghanistan. It achieves this through financial and welfare support. It also sustains the memories of the loss of life and sacrifices made
