Who are we? 

We are Elie Bauer and Tom Lastmann, and we have been very close friends since we were born. We will celebrate our Bar Mitzvah in October 2021, one week apart.

Since travel to Everest is currently restricted, we will be climbing Mount Snowdon instead, one of the highest mountain in Britain, in June. We will be trekking 13 miles, in support of a Bar Mitzvah sponsoring program called 13 for 13.

We are undertaking this physical challenge as we want to help less fortunate boys our age, and we really hope to meet them in Israel very soon. 

The Charity

The Boys Town Jerusalem school provides outstanding education to underprivileged Jewish children whose families recently migrated to Israel.

We are proud to ‘twin’ with two boys who are also celebrating their Bar Mitzvah this year. The money we raise will help these two new friends to fund:

-Tefillin, Siddur and Tallit (£400)

-Activity trip and party for their Bar Mitzvah (£750) 

-School fees for the year (£2,500)
