Basically in typical me fashion, I was persuaded my a formerly close friend to sign up for the 3 peaks challenge who "forgot" the rather important detail that it was over 24 hours. Being of a rather enthusiastic nature I accepted and then later found out the finer details...........
However it is for a fantastic cause, raising money for The Southern Ethiopia Gwent Link (SEGL) which is:
SEGL is a small charity led by healthcare professionals in Gwent Each year we visit a rural deprived area of Ethiopia delivering education and resources to empower the health workers to improve the lives of the local people.The charity delivers 100% of all money raised there are no admin costs.The volunteers have identified that Motorbike Ambulances are saving the lives particularly of pregnant mothers and their babies by transporting them to places where they can access care.
The cost of an ambulance is approximately £10,000, your donation, however small, will help to save lives Thank you
