Please support our amazing runners at The London Landmarks Half Marathon 2018 and together we will find a cure for Mitochondrial Disease

Story

When I was pregnant with my first son I was lucky enough to meet Bob and Claire Wright through NCT. We had our babies and all stayed close as it became clear Jacob was very ill with Leigh's Disease. Sadly Jacob lost his battle having lived a very full and precious 501 days. His parents were devastated but found solace in raising awareness and funds for the The Lily Foundation, a cause that has become very important to me as a result of Bob and Claire who are an inspiration.

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.

In order to run I need to secure £300 of donations by October hence the page going up now! Please support an amazing charity!

THANK YOU! Xxxxxxx
