I am taking part in the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride. In the last week of May I will be joining 300 other riders at HMS Victory and heading to France to ride 350 miles between the battlefields and memorials of the Normandy and Picardy countryside. The ride will finish at Dunkirk on the 70th Anniversary of the evacuations.

Not content with a long distance bike ride I have also the Reading Half Marathon, Blenheim Triathlon,  the London Triathlon (Olympic distance) and the Great North Swim.

Help for Heroes is a great charity supporting our Service personnel wounded in current conflicts. Founded in 2007 it has raised £30 million; this money has gone to various projects including a new swimming pool, gym and research centre at the Forces Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court.
