Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I very much hope that you will decide to sponsor me for my epic run which now looms ominously close.

When I signed up for the Dublin marathon in June, I don't think I quite appreciated how tough training for the event was going to be.  I've had a nasty fall (scars on face to prove it), lost two toenails (and counting) and been bitten by a small white dog.  And I still have to run 26 miles around hilly Dublin....

I've decided to donate any sponsorship money to Oxfam's West African Food Crisis appeal.  Thankfully I can't imagine how appalling it must be to know your family are hungry and you've nothing to feed them with but I'm pretty sure its 1,000 times worse than the pain fo running a marathon. 

Oxfam estimates that £60 will feed a family in West Africa for a month.  I've set my fundraising target at £2,160 on the basis that this amount should feed three families for a year - a tiny drop in the ocean of this particular crisis but every little helps...

I'll be very grateful for anything that you are able to donate to this cause.  And I'll think of you all as I pound my way through mile 18 (meant to be the worst bit!)
