Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We're going to be Walking for Water on Sunday 19 September 2010 - 7 miles along the Thames and through Bushy Park.

Your money really will change lives in India.  The more you can give, the more Jeevika can do.  7 miles is a typical walk every day for many woman in India to collect water, some walk even further.

Jeevika Trust may only be a small organisation but it has a wide-ranging impact.  The money raised at last year’s Walks for Water in the UK and France meant that 970 families, that’s nearly 6800 people, no longer have to walk for several hours a day to collect water.  They can now collect safe water for their daily needs from a traditional rainwater-harvesting system just outside their villages.  If you or your sponsors want more information about our work, please visit our website – www.jeevika.org.uk.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
