Story
Hello all!! thanks for visiting my page.
As some of you are aware I am soon to embark on a little trip from Lands End to John O'Groats. The route im taking is a little over 1000 miles (if i don't get lost), and all going well should take me 15 days on my bike. I am a little scared.....
I'm raising money for Oxfam, specifically to help assist the people Bangladesh and Nepal, whose homes are being washed away by floods brought on by climate change. Personally I think a lot of people are ignoring their environmental duties at the moment and are unaware that climate change is happening now and is affecting lives. There is a very good article i came across on the BBC website which explains the situation in Bangladesh and it would be great if you could go and read about it so you can understand what climate change is doing. here is the link:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8144223.stm
and here is a link to the Oxfam website which goes into detail on how they are helping:
http://www.oxfam.org.uk/get_involved/campaign/climate_change/index_B-donate.html
Thank you so much to anyone that donates, and even if you don't i hope you have become aware of how climate change is effecting people in the world. Go for a cycle or walk instead of using your car, recycle, turn off lights when not in use. I know the eco message has been rammed into us over the last few years but it is so easy to do these things and together we can make such a difference.
Thank you so much!!!
