The Hotline is on the front lines supporting survivors of domestic violence as the nation's only 24/7 provider of services via phone, chat, and text. COVID-19 is greatly increasing survivors' risk. Together, we can help.

Story

I knew what domestic violence was before I knew it had a name. My mom would tell me about her first marriage when I was too young to understand. She didn’t have the National Domestic Violence Hotline for support because it wouldn’t be founded for another 20 years. Leaving and trying to heal on her own took a toll.

Survivors today always have a place to get emotional support, customized safety planning, and referrals to local resources by phone, chat, and text -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

And support is needed more than ever. Hotline Advocates have heard from thousands of survivors about how abusive partners are using the stress, isolation, and financial strain of COVID-19 to further control and abuse.

Please join me in ensuring that no other survivor ever has to go it alone by supporting my fundraiser today. We can make a profound difference by showing our support every step of the way.
