Running the New York City Marathon is on my bucket list but injuries have sidelined me. I plan to run for the Women's Prison Association in 2022 or 2023 but until then I still want to support this amazing organization.

Did you know - It costs more than $120K a year to send a woman to jail and her children to foster care. It costs less than $20K a year to offer her an alternative to incarceration with WPA.

@WPA_NYC’s alternative to incarceration model allows women to return to, or stay in, their communities rather than serving time in jail or prison. WPA works with participants to enhance stability and overall well-being by addressing specific needs that may have contributed to their systems involvement, including, but not limited to, intimate partner violence and sex trafficking. 

This summer I am raising money to support women's freedom, safety, and independence. Specifically, my fundraiser will give four women the opportunity to select bedding, curtains, kitchen supplies, and bathroom essentials for their new homes.
