Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I grew up outside Johannesburg, South Africa.

My love of horses began when I was just 4 years old, when I refused to ride a bike - wanting a pony instead.I eventually got my own horse at the age of 16 yrs and, after completing school, I commenced an Equine Science course. This followed with working in Germany and the UK, running professional stud and dressage yards.Next came my training in equine therapy, qualifying as an equine osteopath here in the UK. This led to me enrolling on an equine sports massage diploma course, held at Springbridge Carriage Driving Centre. I was thrilled to see how carriage-driving horses could bring so much to the lives of people living with a disability. I felt that Springbridge, and the people who work there, deserve to be supported.

I then decided back in August 2009 to enter the Brighton Marathon, having never run further than to the bus stop. I have trained tirelessly since then 4 or 5 times a week and, just two weeks ago, completed a half marathon.
Please support me in my quest to raise as much money as possible for Springbridge Carriage Driving Centre, and donate what you can afford for a wonderful cause.
