I am running the Manchester 10k  on the 22nd of May to raise money for the Friendship Circle.  

The Friendship Circle vision is a one of acceptance, inclusion and happiness.

Too many people are isolated because of a disability, be it physical or mental, and too many people not able to reach their potential because of limitations put on them by society. We aim to break down barriers and stereotypes.

Here at the Friendship Circle we have created a warm and loving family style “community within a community”, providing fun and social activities, creating long lasting friendships and putting smiles on faces !

I envisage a community that embraces people with differences and their families, and allows each person to contribute in his/her own way. A community filled with love and respect for everyone, regardless of age, race, religious affiliation, or personal differences.

And The Friendship Circle is starting to pave the way for that community.
