I haven't run now for 12 years, so altho I won't be running the longest distance, the challenge for me is going out every day in rain, wind and (maybe) snow! So 100km is my target, I'm totally unprepared, hope my knees hold up to it and that the storms stay away! I'll be running and power walking as it has been so long since I did anything and want to make try to get my body to the end!!
I'm very proud of my friend who's involved in organising this whole project, so wanted to do this to support her. But also because as a physiotherapist I know how good exercise is for your mental wellbeing but also understand how hard it is to start from rock bottom. So the challenge is set....
As a techo-phobe I am gonna strive to download a running app to keep a record of my progress but will also post updates too!! I would be hugely grateful if you could give anything to go towards our team total!! Thanks for reading. X
