Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania may not be Everest, but it is still a serious undertaking!

In early Febuary 2013, a group of friends and I will be spending a week climbing what is, at nearly 6,000m, the highest mountain in Africa. Not only will it be a long, hard slog to the top, but there's also the lack of oxygen, the risk of altitude sickness and the sleeping in tents in sub-zero temperatures to consider - not to mention Bready's snoring!

The reason I'm doing this is because it is a great opportunity to challenge myself through a little adventure that, at the same time, will raise money for a very worthy cause.

I am funding the entire trip myself, so every penny/cent you donate will go to Shika (www.shika.org.uk) who are tranforming the lives of some of Tanzania's poorest people through their education programs.
