Zoe Burgess joined scouts whilst being treated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Zoe joined in with as many activities and camps as her illness allowed. CLIC Sargent supported the family through the process by assisting in accessing benefits and holidays, this been a small part of what they can do.

Zoe has since completed treatment, and moved into  Explorer Scouts and guides. Whilst being a member of both Zoe has raised awareness of Children's Cancer and her own experience of both the highs and lows.

The Explorer Unit decided to raise money for charity and chose CLIC Sargent after Zoe suggested an idea for fundraising for a charity close to home or had meaning to one of the members of the unit. leading to the combined decision to raise money for CLIC Sargent.
