Story
Hi, thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. We are taking part in the Urban Rat Race Adventure on the weekend of the 26th and 27th September 2009 to raise money for FARM-Africa.
The Urban Rat Race is a new kind of charity challenge - we will be cycling 50km, kayaking down the river Thames, running around London, and abseiling down a famous monument or building, all in one day!
The exciting part - we won't find out the route until the morning of the challenge. The scary part - we won't find out the route until the morning of the challenge.
We are taking part to raise money for FARM-Africa, a charity that was founded in 1985 to help poor farmers and herders and forest communities in eastern Africa to grow more food, keep their livestock healthy, make a basic living and manage their natural resources in a sustainable way.
By supporting us, thousands of farmers, herders and forest dwellers could get the help they need to effectively farm their land.
So please, give generously - we will be posting photos after the event and our results on the FARM-Africa homepage.
There are over 800 people taking part so wish us goodluck!
