Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I and equally "unsporting" mate have decided complete "a challenge" with the intention of raising some funds to support a local hospice.

Our objective is to  cycle from my house to Great Langdale and back again

Thats 175 mile round trip with just shy of 10,000 ft of hill climbing, across two national parks and through the highest public house in the land

- not quite the tour d'france but then you dont see many fat lads on that particular race

To add a bit of spice to the challenge we will also be including a pub crawl of langdale, and quite possibly some hill walking to boot.... (geographic pun intended)

We will commence the journey on the 11th of August, photos and gps tracking can be supplied for the cynics amongst you

THE WHY:-

The hospice in question provides palliative care for people in the north of england.

St Teresa's hospice has helped a number of people we have known, offering a crucial service at a critical time.

The establishment is soley dependent on voluntary support, time and financial aid - its a noble institution and one we wish to support.
