Story
I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon on 23 May 2010!!
I am raising money for Asha, a charity who work with the slum communities in Delhi by helping improve the living conditions in the slums and to provide them with better healthcare and education. In 2008 I worked with Asha in the slum communities where I taught English to women and children. It was a great joy to get to know some of the people who live there, whose stories are so tragic, yet they are some of the most generous and hopeful people I have met. Asha help bring the people in the slum communities together by forming women's and childen's healthcare and education groups through which friendships have been created and a network of support in such a hostile environment.
I would be very grateful for any support you can give, even the smallest amount will help the slum communities a great deal. Please sponsor me! Thank you!
