We Support under 5s with Cerebral Palsy to improve their future opportunities

Story

Hi guys,

Thanks for visiting my page. You are probably wondering what on earth we are thinking :-) Well both Scott and I wanted to do a skydive as we both have adrenaline junkie tendancies ;-) and we decided that it would be worthwhile raising money for a charity at the same time. The Dame Vera Lynn trust runs a school for parents with children with Cerebral Palsy up to the age of five in Five oaks nr Billingshurst called Ingfield Manor which teaches them practical daily living skills and confidence building. Cerebral Palsy is a condition that affects movement, posture and co-ordination. The school for parents is a unique service that recieves no government funding and relies on charitable donations. Both my mother and a friend from school have worked at Ingfield Manor. The free specialist support and sharing of experiences the parents and children receive is vital to helping the child achieve their full potential throughout their early years and is probably the first support they will receive. If children are positioned well from an early age and encouraged to move in a way that helps them to improve their posture and muscle control, they can be supported to develop and achieve more independence for themselves. We are very scared about doing the jump. We look forward to your support and helping a worthwhile cause.

We are fundraising seperately and Scott has a Just Giving page as well. Scott's page is here.

N.B. The £220 that we have both "Rasied Offline" on our justgiving pages is the cost of the skydive that we have both put in ourselves. All donations given will be 100% charitable and not go to fund our adrenaline addiction ;-)

The £345 target is the minimum we must raise in order to do the jump, which is organised by the charity to ensure that it is worthwhile for them as well. (i.e. they get at least £125)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
