I have always wanted to help in any way I can, and when I heard that I could use my skills from my Fashion degree specifically to help this community I was so excited by the opportunity.

Travelteer Impact has multiple different areas of which you can help, I have chosen the textile design route whereby I will be working 9-5, Monday to Friday teaching and educating women on how to create and market different products in order for them to sell them and make a living. In Sri Lanka it is more common for men to have better access to jobs, so for single mums it can be very difficult to provide for their children, and often orphanages will take away their children because they are under the poverty line. By volunteering over in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka, I can personally make an impact to help these women provide an income for their family. After hearing about this I was shocked and want to do as much as I can to help! The money I raise will be going towards helping me with this opportunity and specifically to the charity. 

Any donations would be SO appreciated; these women have so little and any help small or big will go towards changing their lives and their families!
