We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

On Wednesday 9th June 2010 James Barnes (aka Lance Barnes), Paul Collins (aka Stanley Wiggins), Steven Pratt (aka Prax Hoy) and Paul Wells (aka Piers Contador) will set off from the leafy London suburb of Sunbury On Thames and attempt to cycle to Paris in time for the England v USA World Cup game on Saturday evening.

The four riders can hardly be classed as avid cyclists, in fact we have only just this week sourced all four bikes, and it will only be on that first day when making the 60 mile journey to Portsmouth that they will realise the feat they have undertaken!

I personally must receive ten or so justgiving.com requests a year and so understand if you feel this is just another cause that you are being asked to part with your hard earned cash for.  However, the charity we are raising money for, namely Parkinson's UK, is a great charity and play a part in helping sufferers with this awful disease.  We have chosen this charity because we all have someone close to us that have been affected by Parkinson's.  If you are able to sponsor us you can be safe in the knowledge that at some point in the four days and 301 miles we will all be struggling and have your donation to spur us on.  It may also stop us from gorging on red wine and cheese of an evening in a French bistro so that we are in peak physical condition for the next days ride...well that's the plan!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
