Story

Hi everyone,

On 20 July I'm doing the 3 Peaks Challenge for Cancer Research UK. The idea is to ascend and descend the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales - all in 24 hours!

Fortunately I have some great friends who are as crazy as me! Known as the Summit Sisters, Donna and Emma are walking with me and Elise is our team driver! :-)

I really want to help raise funds for Cancer Research after losing my Aunt in 2009 and every year I've stepped up the challenge. This year is no exception - the walking distance alone is 26 miles and will take 13 hours on top of 462 miles and 11 hours of driving! It took 2 months for my knees and hips to stop aching after walking a (flat) marathon in 2011 and I'm about to do the same, but worse, this year. I must be mad!

I'd love it if you could support me by sponsoring me and my little legs! You can donate any amount from £2 on here or text BBBL81 £1 to 70070. Every pound counts! CRUK estimate that more than 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime and it makes Cancer Research a very worthy cause to raise funds for.

Donna is fundraising for the NSPCC: http://www.justgiving.com/Donna-Gilliard1

Emma is fundraising for the Alzheimer's Society: http://www.justgiving.com/Foxe13

Thank you for taking the time to read my page,

Fran

P.S. Please don't forget to select Gift Aid so the tax can be reclaimed!
