Story

THE YEAR CHALLENGE:100km Swimming, 1000km running, 10,000km cycling.

This challenge is the equivalent of 2km swim, 20km run, 200km cycling every single week for 2013!!For those that know my job, i also have to travel a lot with work, so to complete the above i have to be really disciplined. In addition to this, i also need the moral support from Vic and Dylan!!!All my runs and bikes will be tracked online (so i can’t cheat)...and the swims will be signed off by LA Fitness.

On January 9 2012, we were blessed with the most amazing, beautiful (with fully styled hair cut) baby boy.  Most importantly, he was healthy!!  For anyone who has been through child birth then they will able to appreciate the worry you go through for both mother and baby.  Every test, assessment, hospital visit always leaves you worrying that something wrong.  With Dylan...we have been blessed with a healthy happy boy.

Fast forward 6 months and i watched a documentary on Great Ormand Street Hospital.  In that one moment...i realised just how lucky my little family was.  Not only is our boy healthy, we had an amazing network of family and friends who helped us every step of the way.

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world class care to hundreds of children every day. To summarise it in my own words:

“All the team there make miracles happen every day”

However, to maintain these miracles, they need to raise £50 million every year to help give hope to very ill children and their families.  The money raised helps to build state of the art facilities, develop new treatments, provide the best equipment and support their remarkable patients and their families.

So this lead me on a mission....to do something every week for 2013 to help raise a little bit of money.

In order to do all these events, i have had to invest my own money to cover entry to all the events, accommodation, and travel etc.

So....my plea....make a small donation and take great pleasure in my suffering.  If you can't donate, then please share....my brother alone helped raise an extra 1.5k by sharing my story.

I will also be keeping a video diary throughout which i will post on this page J
