On Sunday the 25 of April, 2010 I'll be taking part in one of the worlds greatest sporting events, running alongside more than 35,000 people in a bid to cover the 26 miles and 385 yards that make up the Virgin London Marathon.  I've rather naively set myself a target time of under 4 hours and am just starting to realise the amount of hard work and commitment it's going to take to realise my goal.

Your kind donation will not only support the great work the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre do, but will also give me the extra motivation I need to get out of the house and into those wet, dark and miserable winter evenings.

MSRC is a national charity that is committed to supporting anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis - their approach is to encourage individuals to make choices that are appropriate to their daily lives, empowering them to maximise their potential.

MSRC needs to raise £45,000 per month to maintain vital services such as:

The only 24 hr, freephone, Telephone Counselling Service for people affected by MS that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week Publish the acclaimed MS Journal, New Pathways, currently sent to 29 countries and edited by Judy Graham, a leading light in the MS Community

Here's a how a donation can make all the difference:

£10 will pay for an unlimited counselling call
£15 will pay for a years subscription to New Pathways
£25 will provide one mornings worth of Benefits advice and support
£50 will pay for 10 CD copies of New Pathways
£100 will pay for one day of a MS Specialist Advisor
£500 will cover one third of the yearly costs involved in the training, telephone and other costs of one of Telephone Counsellors.
Their ethos is that "Life is for Living" and we strongly believe that access to unbiased information and advice can help people come to terms with their condition and still find ways to maximise their potential.
