On 1st September I'll be taking my first steps up Kilimanjaro and by 6th September I hope to be taking my last steps up the mountain, as I reach the summit.

Why am I doing this? Because it's there and it's something I've always wanted to do.

I've chosen Leukaemia Care as the charity I'm asking you all to donate to, they provide care and support not just to leukaemia patients but their families and carers as well. It's a charity that our family has been connected with ever since my brother was diagnosed with leukaemia as a child.

The climb is not part of any organised event, which means that everything you donate will go to charity.
